DESCRIPTION
Side A: Artemis aims her bow at the hunter Actaeon who is savaged by his hounds. He is portrayed as a beardless youth wearing a chlamys cloak and a sheathed sword at his side. He falls to his knees with his head cast back and an arm outstretched in a gesture of pain. One of the dogs savages his throat, while two tear at his side and arms, and a fourth leaps up to his face.
Side B: Pan pursues a shepherd boy (see other image).
