River Cydnus
KYDNOS (Cydnus) was a river-god of Kilikia (Cilicia) in Anatolia (modern Turkey).
The River Kydnos had its headwaters in the Tarsos (Tarsus) Mountains on the Kilikian border with Syria and flowed into the Mediterranean near the city of Tarsos. The most important neighbouring rivers were the Lamos to the west and the Syrian Orontes in the south-east.
